β€œHow Cabin Pressure Varies with Baro Altitude?”

The Cabin Pressurisation system is one of the many complex systems in a fighter jet. The cockpit is required to be maintained at a set ‘pressure differential’ with respect to the outside ‘Barometric’ pressure. Virtual Flight Test Centre has undertaken a test flight on the F-16C Viper aircraft on the Digital Combat Simulator to evaluate the cabin pressurisation system. Ceiling height climb till 50000 ft followed by a rapid supersonic dive was undertaken to assess the variation of cockpit altitude (pressure) vis-Γ -vis the barometric altitude.
